What Does CFSS Cover?

CFSS covers the same core services as PCA, including:

• Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Help with basic self-care tasks
• Health-Related Tasks: As directed by a licensed professional
• Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs): Assistance with tasks that support daily life
• Observation and Redirection of Behavior: Support to promote safety and engagement

Examples of Support We Provide

Activities of Daily Living (ADLs):
Our trained staff can assist with:

• Dressing: Putting on clothes, applying braces or compression wraps
• Grooming: Hair care, shaving, oral care, eyeglass and hearing aid care
• Bathing: Personal hygiene and skin care
• Eating: Assistance with feeding, transfers, and use of special devices
• Transfers: Moving from bed to wheelchair, chair to toilet, etc.
• Mobility: Walking, wheelchair support, or general ambulation
• Positioning: Adjusting body posture for comfort and care
• Toileting: Help with bladder/bowel care, feminine hygiene, perineal cleansing, and clothing adjustment

Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs):
Assistance with:

• Cooking and meal preparation
• Laundry and light housekeeping
• Shopping and errands
• Medication reminders and assistance with self-administered medications

Who Can Receive CFSS?

To qualify for CFSS, a person must:

• Be eligible for Medical Assistance (MA)
• Have an assessed need for assistance with daily activities
• Choose to receive support at home or in a community-based setting
