Personal Care Assistance (PCA) Services
Prime Choice Home Care is proud to offer Personal Care Assistance (PCA) services, both Traditional PCA and PCA Choice, in accordance with Minnesota Department of Human Services (MN DHS) guidelines. These home healthcare services are designed to help individuals with disabilities or chronic illnesses live independently in their homes and communities.
Traditional PCA Services:
- Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and eating.
- Help with instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) like meal preparation, medication management, and light housekeeping.
- Services are provided by trained PCA staff who work under the direction of a qualified professional.
PCA Choice:
- A self-directed program that allows individuals to hire, train, and manage their own PCA staff, including family members or friends.
- Provides greater flexibility and control over the care received, empowering individuals to make decisions that best meet their needs.
- Prime Choice Home Care supports PCA Choice participants by ensuring compliance with requirements and providing guidance throughout the process.
